ギャラリーの作品と設定は、アプリ本体とは別の ~/Library/Application Support/Artlia にあります。
で ~/Library/Application Support/Artlia を開き、場所が正しいことを確認して、このArtliaフォルダだけをゴミ箱へ移動します。
System requirements
A Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later) running macOS 13 Ventura or later. Intel Macs are not supported.
RAM: 8GB minimum; 16GB recommended for large artworks.
1. Install
The Mac download will be provided at release and with your purchase. Check the download information at release to confirm that your Mac is supported.
Open the downloaded Artlia Paint disk image and drag Artlia to Applications. When copying finishes, eject the disk image and launch Artlia from Applications. Contact support if you encounter an unexpected signing or security error.
2. Activate your license
Save the license key beginning with ART1 from your purchase confirmation and license email. In Artlia Paint, click the A button at the top left, choose Settings…, open the About tab, enter the key and click Activate. Activation needs an internet connection. After activation, the app attempts a license check on launch and about every six hours while running, and retries after connection failures. Automatic checks stop once the app learns that this device has been deactivated or removed from the active devices. Offline use remains available.
Each signed license confirmation is valid for 30 days; see ‘Offline valid until’ in About. After that date, opening, editing, saving and exporting remain available, and the app asks for an online check.
A full refund permanently ends the license; a partial refund does not. A formal payment dispute temporarily suspends license activation and confirmation; a preliminary inquiry does not. If the dispute is resolved in our favour and payment stands, we automatically restore the license unless another restriction applies. Devices that were still activated resume at their next successful online check without reactivation; removed or deactivated devices stay removed. If the dispute is resolved in the buyer’s favour and payment is reversed, the license ends. If that decision is later reversed in our favour and payment stands, the same automatic restoration applies. A full refund always prevents restoration. Opening, editing, saving and exporting remain available in every license state. These provisions do not limit your statutory rights.
The purchase confirmation link expires after 24 hours. Keep your key and purchase email.
3. Your first artwork and saving
Create a new illustration in the gallery, draw a stroke and return to the gallery; this saves it. When saving finishes, reopen the artwork and check that your stroke is still there.
Also press ⌘S, or in the artwork’s Board tab click the File button at the bottom right → File / Export → Save .lia, then choose a name and folder for an editable .lia file. Wait for the save success message. Canceling or a failed save does not mean the file was saved. A PNG export does not replace the editable .lia original.
Return to the gallery, then open the saved .lia with Finder’s Open With → Artlia and check its contents (while an artwork is open, you can also use the Board tab’s File button → Open .lia). To choose the file association, use Finder’s Get Info → Open with and select Artlia.
Autosave and startup recovery: When there are edits, autosave saves recovery data as you pause drawing. Drawing and other operations can delay saving; failed idle autosaves are retried automatically. Recovery includes layers and document settings, but may miss recent strokes; floating reference images are restored when possible.
At launch, artwork is recovered automatically when the data and other conditions allow it. Some data needs review in Gallery. After recovery, check the artwork, return to Gallery and wait for saving to finish, then save a .lia using the steps above. Continue regular saving and backups to separate storage.
4. Where your works live
Gallery works and settings live separately from the app in ~/Library/Application Support/Artlia. Enter this path in Finder’s Go → Go to Folder… to open it.
Works are in its artworks/ folder, with .lia files and companions such as thumbnails, metadata and reference images. The Artlia folder also contains settings, custom resources, recovery data and device credentials in license/. External .lia files are wherever you chose to save them.
5. Back up
Finish saving and quit Artlia Paint. For recovery on the same Mac, copy the entire ~/Library/Application Support/Artlia folder to separate storage. Keep the companion files in artworks/, settings, custom resources and recovery data together. Also back up each folder where you saved external .lia files.
Before deleting anything, open a copy of a backed-up .lia in Artlia Paint and verify that all needed works and their contents are present. Keep the original backup intact while checking. For a move to another Mac, follow the steps below and do not copy license/.
6. Remove only the app and reinstall
Quit Artlia Paint and move only Artlia.app from Applications to the Trash. Keep the Artlia data folder, external .lia files and backups. Your works remain. This does not request a refund or deactivate the device.
To reinstall, copy Artlia from the provided disk image to Applications again. Launch it and reopen gallery works and external .lia files to confirm that your stroke is still there.
7. Also remove works and settings (optional and destructive)
This deletes works and settings. Do this only if you choose to delete them, after making a backup and opening it to verify its contents.
If you will stop using Artlia Paint on this Mac, choose Deactivate this device in About before deleting. The deactivation is sent to the server while you are online: stay connected until “Deactivation pending; retrying” disappears, then quit Artlia Paint. If it is still shown after a few minutes online, contact support before deleting any data. In Finder’s Go → Go to Folder…, enter ~/Library/Application Support/Artlia. Confirm the location and move only this Artlia folder to the Trash. Do not delete the entire Library or Application Support folder.
External .lia files remain. If you also choose to delete them, identify the folders and files you saved individually before removing them. Keep backups separately. Deleting data does not request a refund or deactivate a device.
8. Move to another Mac
Finish saving and quit Artlia Paint on both Macs. Verify your backup, then copy your works and the settings and custom resources you want to ~/Library/Application Support/Artlia on the new Mac. If the new Mac has no works yet, copy the whole artworks folder. If it already has works, do not Replace the artworks folder (that deletes the new Mac’s works); copy the contents of the old artworks folder into the new one and skip, not replace, any same-named files. Transfer external .lia files too.
Do not copy the license/ folder. Its device ID and credentials belong to the old Mac. Connect the new Mac to the internet and activate it with your purchase key in About. Open the transferred works and .lia files to check their contents.
See the Terms for how many devices you can activate. Before retiring the old Mac, you can optionally choose Deactivate this device in About while online. Deactivation does not delete your works.
9. Support, key reissue and refunds
Contact support@artlia.app. For key reissue or refunds, write from the email address used at checkout and include the purchase date. Purchase verification and replies normally go to the checkout email address. See the refund policy for refund conditions.
If your purchase email address has changed, write from the old address if it still works and include the new address. If you can no longer use the old address, write from the new address with the Stripe receipt number (or the order’s receipt email), purchase date and amount. After confirming the purchase with Stripe, we reply to and record the new address.
For technical help, include your macOS version, Artlia Paint version, the steps leading to the problem and any error message. Never send your full license key or license files. Hide keys and credentials in any screenshots you attach.
10. Version
Your installed Artlia Paint version is shown under A → Settings… → About.
11. Inside-line painting and Lasso fill
With the brush tool, enable No overflow to constrain strokes to an enclosed area detected from the starting point. Detection depends on lines, tolerance and gap closing. If no enclosure is found or the start is unsuitable, drawing continues normally.
With the Lasso fill tool, use opacity above zero and draw an outline with at least three points so its area overlaps the canvas. Close the loop and release to fill its interior with your current color on the active pixel layer; an unclosed outline stays pending. Existing selections limit both tools; for Lasso fill, alpha lock preserves existing alpha.
12. Import brushes
Import .liabrush presets, sampled tips from .abr files, or PNG images (currently Mac only on desktop). A PNG becomes a single brush tip. Malformed or oversized .liabrush files may be rejected.
ABR import attempts sampled-tip extraction only; support for every file or version is not assured. Photoshop dynamics and settings are not imported.
